While the 33-year-old goalkeeper showcased nerves of steel, his wife, Djina, a former Miss Serbia and Miss Earth contestant in 2021, passionately cheered him on from the stands.
Djina, 23, exuded pride and love in post-match social media posts, sharing moments from the night at the Bridge, adorned in a Chelsea jacket personalized with her husband’s name and number. The couple believed to be together long-term, met when Petrovic played for Cukaricki in their homeland. After moving to the MLS with the New England Revolution in 2022, Petrovic proposed to Djina before their wedding 12 months ago.
Djina, a fashion enthusiast, has not only competed in beauty pageants but also launched her clothing brand, Fashion Djins, in 2022. As Petrovic signed a seven-year deal with Chelsea in August, Djina is set to explore fashion in her new home near King’s Road.
