However, Real Madrid staged a remarkable comeback, thanks to substitute Joselu, leaving Davies to ponder what might have been and prompting speculation about his future. The speedy 23-year-old has frequently been linked with a move to Madrid and is nearing the end of his contract with his current club in Germany.
