Reine-Adelaide’s update on Instagram provided some relief to fans, stating, “Thanks for your messages of support, more fear than evil.” Reine-Adelaide, who spent two years at Arsenal between 2016 and 2018, received well wishes from his former club Lyon, where he played from 2019 to 2023. Lyon expressed solidarity and wished him a speedy recovery.
Despite never featuring in the Premier League, Reine-Adelaide made eight appearances across the FA Cup and League Cup during his time with Arsenal. The incident has sparked concerns across the football community, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of the sport and the importance of player safety.
