Brentford’s director of football, Phil Giles, has provided a clear update on the future of striker Ivan Toney, stating that the club has never received a transfer offer for the player. Toney, who is currently serving a gambling ban set to end in January, has been the subject of speculation linking him to top clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea when the transfer window reopens.

Giles revealed in an interview with BBC 5 Live, “I’ve never had one phone call in three-and-a-half years about Ivan Toney, in terms of interest in buying him. If my phone rings between now and then, I’ll see what’s happening. But I’m really not focused on that at all.”

While sources suggest that Brentford is anticipating interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham, no formal offers have been made. Despite the potential three-way transfer tussle, Toney himself has expressed a sense of loyalty to Brentford and manager Thomas Frank, hinting that any move might be delayed until the summer.
