On Monday, Juventus, Ronaldo’s former team, conveyed birthday greetings on X (formerly Twitter), underscoring his unique feat of surpassing 100 goals in his first three seasons.
Ronaldo also held the distinction of being the highest-earning player in Juventus’ history, commanding an annual salary of €31 million. Despite assertions that Juventus’ financial woes stemmed from his acquisition from Real Madrid, former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli indicated in an interview with the Financial Times that Ronaldo’s tenure in Turin would have been perceived differently without the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
In the summer of 2021, Ronaldo bid farewell to Juventus, returning to Manchester United before subsequently signing with Saudi side Al-Nassr.
