Manchester United have turned down a low bid for midfielder Scott McTominay. The club is open to selling the Scotland international if a suitable offer is made. Earlier this month, SunSport revealed that Fulham and Tottenham are interested in the 27-year-old.
Recently, Turkish giants Galatasaray showed interest and reportedly submitted a £12.6 million offer, which was promptly rejected by United. According to Turkish reporter Ali Naci Kucuk, Manchester United is seeking at least double the offered sum, valuing McTominay at around £25 million. Kucuk mentioned that if United doesn’t receive the desired offers, a deal could potentially be struck at £16.9 million.
Despite the interest, United boss Erik ten Hag has expressed a desire to retain McTominay, citing his importance to the squad and his contributions last season. Ten Hag stated, “We want to actually keep him because he’s a very important player for our squad. We’ve seen what he can contribute last season.”
