The manager of Bournemouth is gearing up for crucial discussions, with the club’s owner flying in ahead of the upcoming match against Burnley this weekend. Bournemouth has had a dismal start to the season, currently occupying the 19th position in the league standings.

Iraola has yet to secure a victory in the Premier League, and the pressure on him to reverse the team’s fortunes is mounting. The situation worsened for the Spanish manager when his team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wolves, a team previously managed by Gary O’Neil, whom Iraola replaced.

Despite O’Neil’s successful efforts in keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League last season, he was let go by the club’s CEO, Neil Blake, and technical director, Richard Hughes, who were instrumental in bringing Iraola on board.

Blake and Hughes are hoping that their chosen manager can secure a positive result as they prepare to face Burnley, another team struggling in the relegation zone, on the south coast. A victory this weekend could potentially buy Iraola more time to implement his strategies.

Nevertheless, the former Rayo Vallecano boss must instigate rapid improvements, considering that Bournemouth faces a challenging series of matches after their initial relegation battle.

After their clash with Burnley, last season’s 15th-place finishers will go up against formidable opponents in the form of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle in their next three games.
