Once hailed as one of the most promising talents in global football, the ex-Tottenham midfielder boasted an impressive record of 37 international caps. His goal-scoring prowess at Spurs attracted attention from top clubs across Europe.

However, his spark gradually dimmed during his time in north London, leading to a fresh start when he joined Everton in January 2022. Unfortunately, his stint with Everton has been marred by persistent injury setbacks, prompting speculation about his future as his contract nears expiration.

Former Everton scout Bryan King has suggested that the former MK Dons academy product might need to consider dropping down a tier or two within the Football League as he approaches free agency. King expressed doubts about Dele’s fit at Everton and advised him to focus on rebuilding his career elsewhere. Dele, who is still only 27, has struggled to replicate his earlier success since his move to Everton, prompting criticism from King.

Recent struggles with a recurring groin injury, which required surgery in January, have further complicated Dele’s situation. With just 13 appearances for Everton and an unremarkable loan spell at Besiktas last season, it seems likely that Dele will part ways with the Toffees in search of a fresh start.
