Manchester United have reportedly sent scouts to watch Torino star Raoul Bellanova, with the 23-year-old impressing in Serie A this season. Bellanova, a right wing-back, has featured 25 times in the Italian top flight, contributing one goal and five assists, including a recent run of good form with a goal and three assists in his last six games.
United’s interest in Bellanova is said to coincide with their decision to put Aaron Wan-Bissaka up for sale. Wan-Bissaka, who joined United from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50 million, has struggled with injuries and has not fully developed his attacking game as hoped. With just one year left on his contract, United are looking to cash in on the right-back.
Bellanova is valued at £6 million and has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, who are considering a move for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries as well. Despite his impressive performances, Bellanova is yet to make his debut for Italy, but national team coach Luciano Spalletti is reportedly considering calling him up for upcoming international friendlies.
