Roma’s head, Jose Mourinho, was pressed about recent rumors tying the club to various coaches who might succeed him at the season’s end. In his post-game briefing, amidst lingering uncertainty about his tenure, Mourinho addressed queries from reporters concerning Roma’s rumoured pursuits of other Serie A coaches.

“I don’t think that’s true,” stated the Special One. “I have no reason to think that our ownership is not as honest as I am, I trust their honesty 100%. Obviously, this doesn’t mean that they still want me here. I don’t think they talk to other coaches behind my back.”

“I don’t think the Friedkins are talking behind my back. It’s a mutual thing, we have mutual trust in each other.” he further explained. “For me it’s not real news,”
