In Rome, Napoli struggled to find the net once again, marking their fifth game out of the last seven without scoring. The defending Serie A champions faced a challenging 0-0 draw against Monza on Friday.

Midway through the second half, Matteo Pessina squandered a penalty opportunity for Monza, while Mirko Maric received a stoppage-time red card for kicking the ball away. The chaotic ending also saw both coaches being shown red cards.

Monza’s goal drought poses a concern for a club that has been performing admirably despite its limitations. Although the team has showcased commendable performances over one and a half seasons in the top tier, Friday’s match marked the first occasion in its Serie A history where they failed to score in three consecutive games. Monza currently holds the 11th position in the league standings.

Napoli’s recent lack of goals has resulted in them accumulating only 28 points out of a possible 54, placing them in the seventh position.

In Florence, scoring remained a challenge, but a late header from defender Lucas Ranieri, his first of the league season, secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Torino.

Fiorentina’s triumph extended their unbeaten streak to eight games across all competitions, propelling them to fourth place in Serie A. Torino, on the other hand, remained positioned in 10th place.
