Milan is currently in the process of selecting Stefano Pioli’s successor, and although they are taking their time, Gazzetta reports that a preliminary contract is already prepared for Spanish strategist Julen Lopetegui, who is anticipated to receive €4 million annually until 2027.

Lopetegui, the Spanish coach, appears to be the frontrunner for Milan’s managerial position for the upcoming season, even as the club continues its evaluations, particularly given the hesitance from a majority of their supporters.

Gazzetta confirms that while Milan is deliberate in their decision-making, there exists a tentative contract for the former Real Madrid and Wolves coach.

As per the reports from the respected publication, Milan is willing to extend a three-year contract to Lopetegui, with an annual salary of €4 million. It is anticipated that Milan’s board will reconvene with Lopetegui’s representatives in the near future.

Additionally, the Milan-based publication indicates that the club’s directors are taking into account the sentiments of the fans, but Lopetegui remains their primary choice to succeed Pioli. Nevertheless, if negotiations with Lopetegui falter, Milan would explore alternatives such as Roberto De Zerbi and Paulo Fonseca.
