Ange Postecoglou’s squad initially secured an advantage in the Premier League clash against West Ham at their home ground, courtesy of Cristian Romero’s header. However, the visitors rallied in the latter half, equalizing through Jarrod Bowen and ultimately seizing victory with James Ward-Prowse’s goal in the 74th minute.

Despite a promising start, Spurs’ recent form has plummeted dramatically, having only managed a single point from their last five Premier League matches. This downturn has led to the team setting two unprecedented records. They’ve become the first-ever Premier League side to not win five consecutive games despite taking an initial 1-0 lead on each occasion, as reported by Opta. Additionally, they’ve become the inaugural team in Premier League history to lose three consecutive home games after initially holding a one-goal advantage.

The challenges don’t end there, though. According to Squawka, Tottenham has now surrendered 16 points from leading positions this season, surpassing all other teams in the top seven leagues across Europe for the 2023-24 season.

Just a short while ago, Tottenham held the top spot in the Premier League standings. However, they currently sit in fifth place, trailing new leaders Arsenal by nine points. Postecoglou’s team aims to break their five-game winless streak as they face Newcastle in their upcoming fixture on Sunday.
