Chelsea Targetting On Young Mls Talent Julian Hall

Chelsea is keen on securing the services of 15-year-old American sensation Julian Hall, who recently made history as the second-youngest player to grace the Major League Soccer when he made his debut for the New York Red Bulls last week.

Despite Hall inking a fresh contract that extends his stay with New York Red Bulls until 2026, several top-tier clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich have been closely monitoring the remarkable young winger.

Chelsea’s interest in Hall initially sparked when he netted twice against them in an Under-15s Generation adidas Cup encounter back in April. Since then, Chelsea has been diligently scouting him and has actively pursued the possibility of bringing the USA youth international in for a trial at Cobham before his 16th birthday in January.

However, with his recent contract extension at New York Red Bulls, the MLS club now possesses the authority to block any trial and potentially command a more substantial transfer fee for the player.

Anticipating a fight to retain Hall, New York Red Bulls are prepared to offer him a pathway to European football through their multi-club model, which includes RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig.

What adds another layer of intrigue to Hall’s future is his possession of a Polish passport, which could potentially facilitate an earlier move to Europe. Both the USA and Poland are vying to secure the international allegiance of this exceptional talent, recognized as a once-in-a-generation player.

Chelsea has demonstrated their commitment to nurturing young talent by investing over £50 million in the past year to secure the likes of Kendry Paez, Deivid Washington, Angelo, Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei, and Gabriel Slonina.

They are now working on establishing a multi-club model to rival Red Bull’s impressive development pathways for young players. Their ultimate goal is to create a consistent stream of gifted youngsters ready to contribute to Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad.
