James Maddison receives a stern warning from Spurs’ chief Daniel Levy about car at training

James Maddison received a message from Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy when the new midfielder arrived for practice in a flashy red automobile.

James Maddison Gets Warned About His Red Car

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has light-heartedly addressed a recent blunder by James Maddison at the club’s training facility.

Maddison, who joined Spurs from Leicester City during the summer transfer window, made the amusing mistake of driving a red car onto the premises at the Enfield Training Ground. This color choice is famously associated with Arsenal, Tottenham’s arch-rivals. During a fan forum event, Levy playfully reminded Maddison that he couldn’t bring his red car to the training ground and assured everyone that the midfielder would learn from this harmless error.

Levy humorously commented, “James needs to learn that he can’t come to the training ground in a red car. I’ve told him. He’ll learn.”

Maddison has swiftly won over the hearts of Tottenham fans with his outstanding performances on the field. Since his arrival, he has already scored two goals, provided two assists, and earned the title of August Player of the Month.

Maddison recently acknowledged that Tottenham was always a prominent option in his mind when it became evident that he would be leaving Leicester following their relegation from the Premier League.

In his words (as reported by the Mirror), ““Yeah, and that was one of the factors in why I wanted to go to Tottenham.”

“You come to points in your life and career where you have to make a decision and when making decisions, you have to factor in things like that and everything as a whole.”

“And that was one of the reasons I wanted to go to Tottenham, purely because I could just see myself playing for Tottenham. I’m not even 100% sure what I mean by that, so don’t ask me!” “But I could just see myself in that team, in that kit, in that stadium. It just fitted well for me. And they’ve always had that type of player. My dad’s favourite player when I was growing up was Gazza (Paul Gascoigne).”

“And I want to entertain. That will never change for me. That’s non-negotiable. That’s how I play. I’m never going to change and that’s why my journey has gone like this and why I have ended up at Tottenham.”

While Maddison’s choice of a red car may have raised eyebrows among Tottenham fans initially, his exceptional performances and his positive remarks about the club have undoubtedly endeared him to the supporters. The English midfielder, along with his fellow Spurs teammates, is gearing up for this weekend’s North London Derby clash with Arsenal, a fixture in which Maddison has a promising record, having contributed to four goals in nine previous encounters across all competitions.
