Denmark international Christian Eriksen joined Manchester United as a free agent in 2022, overcoming significant health issues. He signed a three-year contract with the club, which now has just under 12 months remaining.

Last season, Eriksen made 28 appearances, including 12 Premier League starts. Addressing rumors of a potential return to Amsterdam, Eriksen stated: “I have one year left, so I am a United player. I haven’t been informed about leaving or extending my contract. I feel good, my family enjoys living in Manchester, and United is a great club. I want to play as much as possible and feel that I fit well into the team.”

Currently, Manchester United is on a tour in the United States, which Eriksen is enjoying more compared to the 2023 tour that involved training in New Jersey and San Diego, and games in Houston and Las Vegas. Now based in Los Angeles, Eriksen remarked: “There were a lot of flights and short trips last time. This tour has a busy schedule too, but it feels different. I might have a clearer opinion in a couple of weeks, but it already feels better.”

Manchester United recently faced a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at SoFi Stadium and have upcoming friendly matches against Real Betis and Liverpool before returning to England for the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 10.
