Chelsea have reportedly reached out to Juventus in an attempt to negotiate a transfer for Kenan Yildiz, but their efforts were rebuffed as contract negotiations continue.

The 19-year-old forward became one of Juventus’ standout young players last season, scoring four goals in 32 appearances, and was a key player for Turkey at the recent European Championship.

Yildiz has three years remaining on his Juventus contract, but discussions are underway to secure a new long-term deal with a higher salary to keep him in Turin. An offer of €1.2 million net per season is on the table, but the young forward is holding out for a better deal from the club.

Page 10 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport outlines how Juventus is committed to Yildiz and plans to meet with his representatives again in August to negotiate a new four- or five-year contract.

The 19-year-old forward is considered unsellable by Juventus, who recently turned down an approach from Chelsea. The Blues are keen to acquire the talented Turk this summer but have encountered significant resistance.
