Jadon Sancho is back training with Manchester United for the first time in 10 months. The winger and manager Erik ten Hag held positive talks this week, agreeing to move past their differences. Sancho was given an extended break after featuring in the Champions League final on loan for Borussia Dortmund. Now, he is in full training with United’s senior squad at Carrington.

The 24-year-old will not travel to Norway for the club’s friendly against Rosenborg on Monday as his pre-season started later than his teammates. United are focused on getting the 23-cap Englishman up to speed. The Red Devils revealed that Sancho “returned for testing” on Wednesday and “trained with the group on Thursday.” Other key players like Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford have also been back in training at Carrington this week. Ten Hag and Sancho had a falling out last September after he was dropped for a Premier League trip to Arsenal.

The Dutchman claimed Sancho had been training poorly, but Sancho responded on social media, saying he had been “a scapegoat for a long time.”Sancho was eventually loaned back to Dortmund in January, where he regained his form impressively. Despite his resurgence, he missed out on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
