The American player has faced challenges securing consistent playing time while on loan at the City Ground. Due to occasional fitness issues, the 21-year-old has mostly made brief appearances as a substitute.

However, he was selected to start in a match against Wolves at home and impressed during his 71 minutes on the field. Reyna came close to scoring a couple of times and also provided the corner that led to Morgan Gibbs-White scoring Forest’s first goal in a 2-2 draw.

When asked about Reyna’s performance and his potential contribution to Forest’s cause, Nuno Espirito Santo told reporters, “He played good. He gave us good possession. He had good situations, good passing and finishing. He is a good option for us and different to what we have normally. He did okay.”

The draw against Wolves has helped Forest stay clear of the Premier League relegation zone. With five games remaining in the season, Reyna aims to play a significant role in the team’s bid for top-flight survival before any decisions are made regarding his long-term future as a Borussia Dortmund-owned player.
