Juventus possibility explored by Zaccagni’s agent as Lazio faces criticism by the agent

Mario Giuffredi, representing Mattia Zaccagni, expressed strong criticism towards Claudio Lotito and Lazio, potentially paving the way for Juventus’ interest this upcoming summer.

Zaccagni, the 28-year-old Italian winger, has been a vital asset for the Biancocelesti since joining from Hellas Verona in August 2021, tallying 20 goals and 18 assists over the past three seasons.

Despite his significant contributions, Zaccagni remains on his initial contract with Lazio, set to expire in June 2025. Discussions for a new deal have been ongoing for months, with talks initiated last year. However, amidst this, Juventus has emerged as a prospective destination, sensing an opportunity in the transfer market.

In an interview with Corriere di Roma via Calciomercato.com, Giuffredi voiced frustration over the lack of communication from Lazio, indicating Zaccagni’s availability for the summer transfer window.

Giuffredi stated, “I haven’t heard from anyone from the club for 40 days. I don’t know if Lotito has anything else to do, but evidently renewing my client’s contract isn’t his priority, otherwise he’d find time to fix the problem. In the summer we’ll look around.”

Zaccagni currently earns approximately €2 million net per season with Lazio and has just a year remaining on his contract. However, negotiations with the astute Lotito may pose challenges for Juventus.
