Manchester United is reportedly eyeing Wolves defender Max Kilman as a potential solution to their defensive issues. The club has faced challenges at center-back this season due to injuries to key players like Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof.

Kilman, 26, joined Wolves in 2018 from Maidenhead United and has since made 119 Premier League appearances for the club. United scouts have been impressed with the Englishman, according to The Times, but there has been no formal contact between the clubs. Wolves are keen to retain their captain, having rebuffed a £30 million offer from Napoli in 2023 and recently rewarding Kilman with a new five-year contract. While Kilman is on United’s radar, they are also considering other options.

Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo and Brentford’s Ivan Toney are among the players linked with the club. Todibo could cost up to £40 million, but United’s pursuit may hinge on their preference between Kilman and Todibo. Toney, a striker, is also sought after by Chelsea, West Ham, and Arsenal, adding to the competition for his signature.
