Arsenal Women’s player Frida Maanum collapsed off the ball during the women’s League Cup final, requiring oxygen in a distressing scene at Molineux. The 24-year-old Norwegian went down on the pitch and was attended to by at least ten paramedics. The incident occurred in stoppage time at the end of the second half, initially unnoticed by officials until fans alerted the referee.

Maanum’s teammate Katie McCabe was the first to attend to her, calling over physios and Stina Blackstenius for help. The Arsenal medical team rushed onto the pitch, followed by paramedics. Maanum received treatment for around eight minutes and was given oxygen before being stretchered off to applause from the crowd. Arsenal later confirmed that Maanum was conscious, talking, and in a stable condition, and would continue to be monitored closely by the medical team.
