Massimiliano Allegri expresses his desire to prolong his managerial career for numerous years but underscores his unwavering concentration on Juventus’ current season. The Italian coach briefly touched upon his future plans during a press briefing held on Friday.

Speaking to reporters ahead of a Serie A clash against Lazio, the Livorno-native manager, who is set to mark his 500th appearance in Serie A coaching, was queried about his aspirations for the long term. “I love and am passionate about this sport. I’ve been involved in football for 47 years,” he remarked.

“I am happy with what I’ve done, but I still want to have fun, work and stay on the pitch; otherwise, I’d get bored. However, the important thing is to be focused, think about tomorrow, and live these 55 days with desire and enthusiasm.”

Allegri also fielded inquiries regarding his continuation at Juventus beyond the current season, considering his contract expires in June 2025. The 56-year-old disclosed that discussions regarding his future with the club’s directors had not occurred during the hiatus, as everyone’s sole attention was directed towards the team’s on-field objectives.

Nevertheless, Allegri expressed little surprise upon hearing director Maurizio Scanavino affirming his trust in him during the international break.
