Alves was seen partying until 5 am at his villa in Esplugues de Llobrega following his release from prison, as reported by Telecinco (via TyC Sports). The celebration was in honor of Alves’s father’s birthday, commencing at a restaurant before continuing at home well into the early hours.

This festivity occurred just a day after Alves was granted bail, having spent 14 months incarcerated, upon the payment of his €1 million (£850,00/$1.09m) bond. Alves is contesting his conviction for rape, which resulted in a four-year and six-month prison sentence, awaiting a final verdict. As a condition of his bail, Alves has surrendered his passports and is obligated to appear in court weekly.

Speculation surrounding the source of Alves’s bail funds has arisen. Neymar’s father has refuted claims of providing financial assistance for Alves’s release, and Memphis Depay’s agent, Sebastien Ledure, has categorically denied any involvement from the Dutchman. Ledure stated to Informativos Telecinco, “This is fake news. It is false news, it is not true at all.”

Alves, now 40, may potentially enjoy his liberty for an extended period, as Marca reports that his appeal may not be heard until the onset of 2025.
