Joshua Kimmich is reportedly considering a surprise move to Arsenal, with the Germany international’s future at Bayern Munich in doubt. Bayern tried to sell the versatile midfielder to Newcastle last summer in a deal involving Kieran Trippier but failed. They are now keen to offload him this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Kimmich is open to discussions with potential suitors, including Arsenal. The midfielder was recently involved in a reported bust-up with Thomas Tuchel’s assistant, Zsolt Low, after a defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. However, Tuchel downplayed the incident, calling it a normal occurrence within the football locker room.

Bayern Munich has had a difficult season, currently sitting ten points behind Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Despite the arrival of Harry Kane for £82 million last summer, Bayern’s form has been inconsistent. Their Champions League campaign also faces a tough challenge, with a quarter-final tie against Arsenal and a potential semi-final against Manchester City or Real Madrid on the horizon.

Here is the highlight video of Joshua Kimmich’s skills.
