Dahoud, who joined VFB Stuttgart from Brighton in the January transfer window, expressed his enthusiasm for playing for Syria, his family’s country of origin, and his birth country. He highlighted the importance of bringing happiness to the people of Syria, acknowledging the privilege of living in Germany while also honoring his roots.

Having already informed the Syrian Football Association of his decision, Dahoud is expected to make his debut for Syria during the next international break, where they are scheduled to play two friendlies against Myanmar.
