The veteran forward had a golden opportunity to level the tie after the goalkeeper spilled a shot, but he somehow missed the target from inside the six-yard box.

The miss proved to be pivotal as Al-Nassr lost 3-2 in normal time, with the quarter-final tie ending 3-3 on aggregate. Ronaldo did manage to score a crucial penalty in the 118th minute to send the match to a shootout, but he was the only Al-Nassr player to convert their spot-kick as they lost 3-1 on penalties.

Despite the disappointment, Ronaldo has been in fine form for Al-Nassr, scoring 29 goals in all competitions this season along with 11 assists in 32 appearances.
