Manchester City had taken the lead in the first half through John Stones, but Mac Allister’s penalty leveled the game after the break. Despite both teams’ efforts, the match ended in a draw, leaving them trailing behind league leaders Arsenal.
After the game, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk expressed his frustration, stating that the team should have closed the game better in the first half. However, he acknowledged City’s quality and the intensity of their matches, emphasizing the need to focus on the next game and enjoy the journey.
