Alvaro Morata is eager to make a comeback to Italy and is reportedly prepared to reduce his salary to facilitate a summer transfer to Juventus.

The 31-year-old Spanish striker has had a remarkable season with Atletico Madrid, scoring 20 goals and providing four assists in 44 matches. It’s reported that he signed a new contract with the Spanish club last year, which supposedly includes an informal agreement allowing him to leave if he finds a new club.

Juventus are actively seeking a new center forward for the upcoming season and have expressed interest in Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee. However, stiff competition from Milan and Arsenal might compel them to explore alternative options that align with their sustainable financial strategy.

According to today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata is pushing for a return to Serie A, motivated by the desire to be reunited with his Italian wife after spending another two years at Atletico Madrid.

With a property still in Turin, Morata is enthusiastic about rejoining Juventus and is willing to accept a decrease in his current total wages of €7-8 million to facilitate the transfer.
