Juventus has formally acquired Francisco Martin Barido from Boca Juniors, securing him under contract until June 2026. He’s been given the moniker of the ‘New Paulo Dybala.’
Having just turned 16 as of January 1, Barido will immediately join the Juventus youth academy.
Barido, an Argentine Under-15 international, excels as a creative midfielder playing behind the strikers, boasting a left-footed style and holding Croatian citizenship.
In Argentina, he’s earned the nickname of the ‘New Paulo Dybala’ and has been on Barcelona’s radar for quite some time. However, Juventus successfully sealed the deal.
Juventus had already submitted his contract in January and were able to secure his signature at such a young age due to his parents’ employment in Italy.
Additionally, the club has acquired Pedro Felipe de Jesus Gomes from Palmeiras, securing him on loan until June 2024.
