Arsenal narrowly missed out on the Premier League title this season, but they are determined to move past the disappointment and focus on the next campaign. Manager Mikel Arteta has emphasized the need to prioritize signing a striker before the pre-season tour begins.

According to The Independent, Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Ajax’s Brian Brobbey are top targets on Arsenal’s shortlist. Additionally, Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres is a potential option, though Chelsea might also be vying for his signature.

Regarding Isak, Arsenal understands that Newcastle may be reluctant to sell the Swedish forward this summer, prompting the club to consider alternative options.

In the January transfer window, Arsenal attempted to acquire Brentford’s Ivan Toney to boost their attacking lineup. However, they were deterred by Brentford’s £100 million ($127m) asking price and have since shifted their focus away from Toney.

Arsenal’s pre-season kicks off on July 27 in the United States against Manchester United, and Arteta is hopeful that a new striker will be secured by then.
