After Stefano Pioli confirmed Milan’s desire for Rade Krunic to seek opportunities elsewhere, reports suggest Fenerbahce faces significant competition from Saudi Arabia, Greece, and Russia.
Krunic, once a pivotal figure during their Scudetto victory, had rejected offers over the summer but has since struggled with form and contract negotiations, prompting his availability in the January transfer market.
“It is better for him and for us if Krunic finds himself another club,” stated coach Pioli during today’s press briefing.
While Fenerbahce has pursued Krunic for months, they are hesitant to meet the asking price of at least €6m. According to Relevo’s transfer expert Matteo Moretto, they remain €2-3m short of securing the deal, leading Milan to explore alternate options.
Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia emerges as one potential option, with interest also coming from Russian and Greek clubs seeking information on Krunic’s situation.
At 30 years old, Krunic’s contract with Milan extends to June 2025.
