Real Madrid has issued a forceful declaration refuting any ongoing talks with Kylian Mbappe regarding a transfer.

The club has frequently been associated with the French and Paris Saint-Germain superstar in recent seasons.

With Mbappe’s PSG contract set to expire at the end of this season, many anticipate that the Bernabeu is his most likely destination for the upcoming season.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid is vehemently denying any negotiations with the World Cup champion at this stage.

In an official statement released by the La Liga giants on Saturday afternoon, it was stated, “Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.”

Earlier in the summer, PSG accepted an astounding £258 million bid from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, but Mbappe declined the offer.

As his contract neared its end, this triggered a stand-off between the player and his club, resulting in Mbappe being temporarily excluded from first-team training.

However, relations have since improved, and Mbappe has returned to the fold. There have even been rumours that the 24-year-old forward is considering an extension of his contract with PSG beyond next summer.

Despite being linked with other clubs, including Liverpool, Mbappe has managed to maintain excellent form this season, boasting 15 goals in 15 games for both club and country.

In a recent match, he played a key role in PSG’s convincing 3-0 victory over Montpellier, positioning them at the summit of the Ligue 1 table.

Nonetheless, Mbappe’s primary ambition is to achieve success in the Champions League, a goal that PSG has consistently fallen short of.

Although they currently lead their group, which includes teams like Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan, their progression to the knockout stage is by no means guaranteed.

Another disappointment in UEFA’s top club competition could potentially pave the way for a departure next summer.
