Alisha Lehmann unveiled her love for rapping before the conversation turned to the notable celebrities who had messaged her privately.

The popular women’s footballer from Aston Villa, boasting the highest number of social media followers globally, provided insight into her life outside of the soccer field during a BBC interview. Among the questions directed at the Swiss international was the last note she had jotted down on her phone, which unexpectedly revealed her previously undisclosed passion for rap music.

She elaborated, saying, “My last note? Me and Shania [Hayles] – she played with me last season – we wrote a little rap song, but I can’t show it. It’s unreleased. You will hear it when it’s released.”

When persuaded to recite a single line from the song, she added, “I have a necklace right? It [says] ‘AL’. So it’s, ‘Strutting with my necklace on, its AL baby, that’s my name’. Sick, isn’t it?” In response to the question of whether she intended to release a full album, she humorously replied, “No obviously [not], I’m a footballer!”

Subsequently, Lehmann was challenged to reveal her ‘best celebrity DM.’ The 24-year-old laughed at the query and opted not to respond.

“Yeah, obviously,” she affirmed when questioned if there was a “long list” of celebrities who had reached out to her via social media. She further explained, “I don’t have a best one. There’s some good, good ones, but I can’t tell you. It’s impossible. It’s too private I think.”

However, when asked about her most famous follower, she mentioned, “Probably Ronaldo from Brazil, one of the GOATs. But it’s Instagram, it’s not the real world.”
