In the Euro 2024 qualifiers held this morning, the Spanish national team secured their triumph against Norway, thanks to Gavi’s lone goal, earning them qualification for the tournament. For the young Spanish star, this marked his fifth international career goal, establishing him as the youngest player to achieve this feat for the national team since 2006.

Aged just 19 years and 67 days, Gavi further etched his name in the records by becoming the youngest player to reach 25 international appearances for the Spanish team. To put this into perspective, at the same age, football stalwarts like Sergio Ramos had only played three games for the national team, while legends such as Iniesta, Xavi, and Busquets hadn’t even made their debuts.

Gavi’s exceptional performance against Norway included an impressive array of statistics:

– 79 minutes played

– 1 goal scored

– 95% passing success

– 2 chances created

– 49 shots on the ball

– 100% accuracy in goal kicks

– Ball recovery skills displayed seven times.

Gavi’s contributions have undoubtedly solidified his place as a rising star in Spanish football.
