Former adult actress and football WAG Mia Etcheverria has been sentenced to almost three years in prison for her involvement in trafficking 14 pounds of cocaine on a flight to Spain.

Etcheverria was one of five individuals apprehended at Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo. Uruguayan police discovered hidden compartments containing six slabs of cocaine, weighing a total of 6.5 kilograms (14 lbs 5 oz), in the suitcases of one of the men during a routine inspection on June 24th.

The rest of the group, including three women aged 26, 27, and 36, and a 35-year-old man, was also detained. Initially denying involvement, Etcheverria later confessed as part of a plea deal, with police finding Telegram messages on her phone providing tips to other gang members on evading detection.

Camila Navarro, her real name, was a prominent figure on the Uruguayan adult channel Divas TV. She received a sentence of two years and seven months and shares two daughters with former Uruguayan football star Richard ‘Chengue’ Morales, 48.

Morales, who made 27 appearances for Uruguay between 2001 and 2005, supported her financially during the trial and emphasized his commitment to protecting their daughters from media exposure related to the case.
