Emma Raducanu continues to savor her tennis hiatus, sharing glimpses of her recent visit to an art museum on Instagram. The 20-year-old Briton, who underwent three surgeries in May, has been diligently working on her tennis comeback while also indulging in leisurely pursuits.

In addition to showcasing photos from her time in her hometown of Bromley, Raducanu took to social media to document her museum visit.

Recently, Raducanu confirmed her return to professional tennis in 2024. Following this announcement, Nicolas Lamperin, the tournament director of the Auckland event, hinted that the 2021 US Open champion might feature in their tournament.

The Auckland women’s singles event for 2024 is scheduled for January 1-7. Lamperin stated, “There have been discussions, but it’s premature to confirm because we still lack a definite return date. The door is open if she chooses to participate, but we’ve had to pursue other players with more certainty.

While it’s not ruled out, we require more time as her return date remains uncertain,” Lamperin told Stuff. Earlier this year, Raducanu suffered a significant ankle injury during her Auckland debut.

Following the incident, Raducanu strongly criticized the court conditions in Auckland, saying, “It’s difficult to take. I’ve put a lot of physical work in the last few months and I’ve been feeling good and optimistic. So to be stopped by a freak injury, rolling an ankle is pretty disappointing, in the first week as well.”

“I thought I was playing some pretty decent tennis. The courts are incredibly slick, like very slippery, so to be honest it’s not a surprise that this happened to someone. It’s out of my control and after a very long day of waiting around.”

“But we’ll assess over the next few days and see what the next steps are,” Raducanu stated after her Auckland injury. The question remains whether Raducanu’s comeback will indeed commence in Auckland.
