After stopping a penalty against Spain in the Women’s World Cup Final, Mary Earps immediately went on a highly profane rant, which helped her become an instant internet star.

Midway through the second half, the Spanish squad was given a penalty for a handball by England’s Keira Walsh, and the Manchester United shot-stopper was called into action.

Attempting to give Spain a commanding 2-0 lead against the Lionesses, Jenni Hermoso stepped up, but Earps, who has been probably the finest goalkeeper in the competition, easily blocked the attempt.

Earps instantly sprung to her feet after grabbing the shot, saying something that we are unable to translate here but it sounded like “f**king yes, f**k off.”

Despite what she stated, Earps’ scream was all the talk of the town even if it still meant that England was losing the game.

Unfortunately, despite her valiant efforts, England was unable to defeat Spain, who were named world champions.
