18 August (Reuters) Following a hamstring injury sustained in training, Reece James will miss Chelsea’s match against West Ham United on Sunday and be out for a few weeks, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino.

James, who was chosen Chelsea’s captain during the summer, departed the field during Saturday’s 1-1 tie with Liverpool. The management said the defender was exhausted, but he has now developed a muscular problem.

A hamstring is involved. Pochettino told reporters that it may take a few weeks rather than a few days.

“I believe it’s a terrible time because he’s our captain, and he was so enthusiastic and full of enthusiasm to be the captain. The manager continued, “We’ll evaluate him every day.

This week, Chelsea signed Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, and the Argentine had nothing but praise for both players.

“The club did tremendous work by adding this sort of player. In reference to Caicedo, who signed for a reportedly British record sum of 115 million pounds ($146 million), Pochettino remarked, “It demonstrates the effort the owners and sporting directors are doing.
