The Brazilian goalkeeper is facing significant uncertainty about his future at the Etihad Stadium. After spending seven successful years in England and winning 17 trophies, he’s now being linked with a transfer to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad reportedly interested.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, has not done much to dispel the rumors. When asked about Ederson’s future, he responded, “I don’t know. He has to see maybe other options. Of course, I would like him to stay but it depends now on the clubs. I don’t really know the situation because there are no contacts in the last days and it’s a question of training and being with us until the transfer window is going to finish. We will see what is going to happen with him.”

City are asking for around £50 million ($64 million) for his transfer. Although Ederson would prefer to stay in Europe, he acknowledges that clubs in the Middle East are more likely to meet the financial demands and offer a lucrative contract.

According to The Athletic, the 30-year-old goalkeeper is exploring an exit from City, partly influenced by the acclaim given to his rival, Stefan Ortega, after Ortega’s crucial save against Tottenham in May, which was pivotal in securing the title.
