Manchester United have expressed strong interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, 26, amid ongoing uncertainty around Andre Onana’s future. PSG have reportedly set a bargain price of £34 million (€40m) for the Italian star, who is entering the final year of his contract without agreeing on an extension.

United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen the goalkeeper position after Onana’s underwhelming spell since his £47.1 million move. Donnarumma, named Player of the Tournament at Euro 2020, remains one of Europe’s top goalkeepers. Though he has stated a desire to stay at PSG, insiders suggest he’s open to a move to the Premier League.

Manchester City is also monitoring him as a potential long-term replacement for Ederson. The shot-stopper has made 154 appearances for PSG since joining from AC Milan in 2020. Despite his public statements, PSG is open to selling this summer if terms aren’t agreed soon.
