Manchester City have confirmed the £31 million signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, with the deal potentially rising to £36.3 million. The 24-year-old Algerian left-back signs a five-year contract, keeping him at the Etihad until 2030.
City accelerated the deal ahead of the transfer deadline to ensure Ait-Nouri is eligible for the Club World Cup in the USA this weekend. His former club, Angers, will receive around £9.7m through a sell-on clause. Ait-Nouri expressed his excitement, calling the move “a dream come true.” City’s director of football, Hugo Viana, praised the signing and sees him as a valuable long-term asset.
