Tottenham are reportedly prepared to pay a £10 million compensation fee to secure Thomas Frank as their new head coach, according to The Telegraph. Talks between Spurs and Brentford have taken place over the weekend, with the West London club demanding a significant payout before agreeing to let go of Frank — the man who led them into the Premier League and established them as formidable competition in the top tier.

Frank is reportedly interested in taking the reins from Ange Postecoglou, who was dismissed after Spurs’ disappointing 17th-place league finish, despite a Europa League triumph. The 51-year-old Dane is also hoping to bring his coaching team from Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium with him to north London.

Although Tottenham have faced challenges in recent seasons, Frank has only managed one win against them in nine matches — a 3-1 victory in May 2023, where Bryan Mbeumo scored twice.

With the summer transfer window already in full swing and rivals making early moves, Spurs are eager to finalise Frank’s appointment swiftly.
