Fabio Paratici is expected to return to Tottenham Hotspur as Director of Football once his FIFA ban ends next month. The 52-year-old Italian resigned in 2023 due to a suspension related to financial misconduct at Juventus.

His comeback coincides with the anticipated departure of current manager Ange Postecoglou, who is likely to leave even if Spurs win the Europa League final against Manchester United. Tottenham endured a dismal Premier League season, suffering 21 defeats and sitting 17th, making a managerial change probable. Paratici is set to lead the search for Postecoglou’s replacement. While his close ties to Inter boss Simone Inzaghi and former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri are known, both are unlikely candidates.

Inzaghi is expected to stay at Inter, and Allegri isn’t keen on managing abroad. One name gaining traction is Francesco Farioli, the 36-year-old Ajax coach, praised for reviving the Dutch club on a limited budget. Fulham’s Marco Silva, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, and Palace’s Oliver Glasner are also on Spurs’ radar.
