Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the departure of seven players following the expiration of their contracts. The announcement comes after the club finished 12th in the Championship under manager Danny Rohl.

Among those released is Stuart Armstrong, who joined the Owls just four months ago after appearing for Scotland in Euro 2024. The former Southampton attacking midfielder made only 11 appearances during his short stint at Hillsborough. Veteran goalkeeper Ben Hamer, 37, also departs without making a single appearance for the club.

The list of released players includes Ryo Hatsuse, Michael Ihiekwe, Marvin Johnson, Pol Valentin, and Mallik Wilks, as the club looks to restructure ahead of the next season.
