Arsenal are eyeing a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lee Kang-In. Mikel Arteta showed interest in the South Korean star back in January, and new sporting director Andrea Berta, who previously pursued Lee during his time at Atletico Madrid, could revive the deal.
Lee has struggled for regular minutes at PSG under Luis Enrique despite showing improvement in his second season. He has started 18 Ligue 1 games this campaign, doubling his goal tally to six, yet remains a fringe player. PSG reportedly plan to offload him this summer and want to recoup close to the £18.7m they paid Mallorca, with no interest in offers under £17m.
Lee, frustrated by limited playing time, is expected to seek a new club. He was an unused sub in PSG’s Champions League win at Arsenal and suffered a shin injury against Strasbourg that may keep him out of the second leg. Arsenal could finalise a deal quickly, potentially including Lee in their pre-season tour of Singapore and Hong Kong.
