Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is planning a summer move for Sporting Lisbon winger Francisco Trincão, valued at £35 million. With Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford unlikely to return after their loan spells, Amorim has prioritized signing a wide player.

Previously signed by Barcelona with a £400m release clause, Trincão struggled at Camp Nou and spent loan spells at Wolves and Sporting. Amorim, who managed him in Lisbon, played a key role in his permanent transfer, where he found stability. The winger primarily plays on the right but is versatile across the front line.
Arsenal and Newcastle are also monitoring him, while Barcelona holds a buy-back clause of just over £20m. Meanwhile, United may increase Rashford’s price tag to £60m amid interest from Barcelona. The England international, recently recalled by Thomas Tuchel, was initially set to be sold for £35m-£40m.
