Marcus Rashford has been fined nearly £800 for failing to provide information regarding a driving offence while he was banned from driving. The Aston Villa winger, on loan from Manchester United, did not respond to a request from Cheshire Police about who was driving his £100,000 BMW I7 on October 30, 2023.
At the time, Rashford was serving a driving ban for speeding at 104 mph in December 2023. The incident occurred in Winsford, Cheshire, on the same day he played in Manchester United’s 5-2 League Cup victory over Leicester. Rashford pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure at Warrington magistrates’ court on March 13.
Rashford was fined £500, along with a £200 surcharge and £90 in costs, and received six penalty points. This adds to Rashford’s history of driving issues. His previous ban ended on January 18, and recently, his Rolls-Royce broke down on the M60 while he was on England duty. It remains unclear who was driving at the time.
