Liverpool has received a major boost in their pursuit of Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki, as the French club has reportedly decided to sell the 21-year-old this summer. Cherki, who has scored eight goals and provided 18 assists this season, is considered one of the most promising talents in French football.
The France Under-21 international impressed during a 5-3 friendly win over England U21s, contributing one goal and two assists. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Fulham, and Crystal Palace have all shown interest in the player. Dortmund even had a £19 million bid rejected in January, believing it would trigger a release clause.
With his contract running until 2026, Lyon has agreed not to block Cherki’s move at the end of the season. Liverpool may face strong competition from European giants, but Cherki remains a top target for the Reds. Meanwhile, Liverpool is also interested in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
