Chelsea outcast Ben Chilwell faces loan opportunity as Premier League team makes late approach

Crystal Palace has reportedly contacted Chelsea about loaning out-of-favor full-back Ben Chilwell for the rest of the season, with negotiations needing to speed up before the January transfer window closes on Monday.

According to The Secret Scout, Crystal Palace reportedly reached out to Chelsea on Friday night in an attempt to secure a loan deal for their out-of-favor full-back, Ben Chilwell, for the remainder of the season. The terms of the agreement have yet to be discussed, and both clubs need to act quickly to finalize the move before the January transfer window closes on Monday.

Chilwell had previously been linked with a transfer to Juventus, but the Daily Mail reported this week that the Italian giants’ interest has faded. The England international, who fell out of favor at Chelsea following the appointment of Enzo Maresca as head coach last summer, was advised to seek a move and was even excluded from the squad.

In other Chelsea news, another player on the outskirts, Cesare Casadei, is set to leave the club permanently, with Italian side Torino expressing strong interest, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea will return to action on Monday when they face West Ham in a critical Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
